Qianlong Antique Chinese Blue and White Teapot With Handle and Stopper – Marked Qianlong

Description

This antique Chinese blue & white teapot marked Qianlong, is beautifully designed from the handle to the base. The sides are designed with a Chinese building at the top of pathway with to walls either side (resembling The Great Wall of China but not exactly), with mountains and trees in the background. The spout has been beautifully decorated in blue and white with the pattern replicated in reverse colour on the handle.

The handle is particularly intricate & has 2 animals (possibly dragons) on either side of the base, each with 4 legs (2 either side). The lid/stopper is decorated with blue and white decorated triangles & blue & white swirls o the lip.

This exquisite teapot is a rare beauty and has been finished with immaculate detail.
