Dartmoor – Access to the Moor
The author reminds readers of the work that public access to much of the land within the National Park boundaries is restricted. No right of access is implied through provisions of the text or mapwork in this publication. Permission should be sought from landowners before attempting access to restricted areas.
Readers will also appreciate that Dartmoor is one of the most important archaeological landscapes in Britain. Many sites are protected under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act and you may be breaking the law if you disturb them. Please take care to protect them.
