Description
Astonishing X-Men Volume 3 No.7 January 2005 ‘Dangerous Part One’
Previously in Astonishing X-Men:
The X-Men have reassembled, and the Xavier Institute For Higher Learning has once again opened its doors.
Recently, the Xavier Institute has been rocked by the invention of a “cure” for the mutant gene – and its first successful test on one of their young students, now entirely without his mutant powers. Also causing a commotion is the return of a teammate the X-Men long thought dead – Peter Rasputin, a.k.a. Colussosu. Particularly affected by Peter’s return is Kitty Pryde, the young X-Man for whom Peter was her first love.
Also, the X-Men have learned some disturbing things on their last mission-aliens from a planet called the Breakworld have become convinced that their civilization will be destroyed by a mutant from Earth – in fact an X-Man – and are now determined to eradicate mutantkind to protect themselves from disaster. What’s worse, a sinister subdivision of S.H.I.E.L.D. (known as S.W.O.R.D.) might just be willing to help the aliens achieve their goal.
