The Avengers defeated a group called the Zodiac, who were going after powerful items of extraterrestrial origin.

It is then they discover the Zodiac’s source of power is the mad cosmic tyrant known as Thanos.

Thanos withdraws, and the outer space swashbucklers known as the Guardians of the Galaxy show op to help.
