‘Book 3: Hell Is For Heroes’
World War III has broken out. The heroes of Earth have banded together to stop Black Adam before more innocents are killed in his quest for vengeance.
Aquaman has been lost, sacrificing his own mind in order to save the people of Sub Diego. The Doom Patrol has been shredded in the wake of Black Adam’s rage. Supergirl, flung into the future and back, has been mysteriously divided, and one of her selves has fallen to Earth while other remains lost in space.
As Harvey Dent battles to maintain order in Gotham City, Deathstroke takes advantage of the chaos to sway Batgirl to his side, meanwhile, The Martian Manhunter begins a quest to restore his lost connection to humanity.

Meanwhile, Amanda Waller has begun rebuilding the Suicide Squad, enlisting the Bronze Tiger back into service.
The Martian Manhunter’s quest to understand human nature has forced him to confront his own failings and limitations, having cast off his human aliases, J’Onn J’Onzz follows Black Adam’s path of destruction toward a rendezvous with his own destiny.
